In just a few short years, MidPhase has rapidly grown into a formidable hosting company with over 120,000 customers. Two budget hosting plans are offered: the Mega-Phase and Pro-Phase.

Mega-Phase is priced at $7.95/month with an incredible 750 GB of disk space. Pro-Phase is priced at $11.95/month with 999 GB of disk space. The Mega-Phase plan comes with more than enough bandwidth (7,500 GB), for high-traffic, everyday website needs, while the Pro-Phase package doesn't meter bandwidth usage at all!

Unmetered Bandwidth Eligibility

Not all sites are eligible for unmetered bandwidth. To be eligible for unmetered bandwidth, your site must comply to the following:

* 90% or more of your images, download files, etc. must be linked from an HTML or equivalent web page that is accessible to the public.
* Your website is comprised mostly of web pages, and images used on those pages.
* Your website is NOT primarily designed to provide files for download.
* Your website is NOT adult in nature.

Otherwise, your website will not be eligible for unmetered bandwidth. Instead, you will be given a bandwidth limit of 7,500 GB per month for Mega-PHASE. 

Customer Support

All of our inquiries have been answered promptly by midPhase. In order for your issue to be managed and tracked properly, it is recommended that you submit your support ticket via the support ticket system. They currently have a ticket response time of 30 minutes and problem resolution time of 2 hours, which is pretty amazing!

If you prefer not to submit a ticket, you can always email support@midphase.com. You can also make a toll-free call to them at 1-866-MIDPHASE. It is recommended that you create a support ticket before calling them so they can easily refer to your issue.

MidPhase has set up a busy community forum with ~17,000 members.
Other top 10 hosts which offer community forums are PowWeb, LunarPages and Hostony. LunarPages has the largest community forum (~39,000 members).

MidPhase also has an emergency pager service in which customers can actually page the administrator! This is very useful when there are vital issues that require immediate attention, such as a down website ranking for top search engine terms. We have hardly seen any other host offering such service before.

This is a web site builder that allows you to create a simple web site with a few clicks. It is worth $149.95, but all midPhase customers are allowed to use it for FREE. SimpleSite Wizard has been integrated directly into the control panel to allow easy access.

If you need to ask for a refund, you need to do it within 14 days. To request a refund, you need to first fill out an online cancellation form (within 14 days after your purchase). Please be aware that sending your cancellation request by email doesn't count. You must use the online form.

Our Advice

MidPhase is the perfect host for the average small business website. Although you won't find some of the added bonuses that other hosts offer, such as unlimited subdomains or a larger scripts library, there is a chance you might not use these add-ons anyways. If you do, MidPhase offers comprehensive hosting package upgrades for additional costs. At that point, however, you might want to go with one of the other top rated hosts reviewed on our site.
